A candidate who tested positive
for COVID-19 in Gombe State wrote his second paper in the ongoing West African
Senior School Certificate Examination under close monitoring on Tuesday.
The unnamed student of Gombe
Senior Secondary School, Gombe, was transported to his school laboratory in an
ambulance from his isolation centre to enable him to write his Chemistry
practical examination.
The Gombe State Public Health
Emergency Operations Centre disclosed these in a message posted on its Twitter
handle, @GombePHEOC, on Tuesday.
The centre had on Monday
announced that the candidate who tested positive to the virus on Sunday wrote
his first examination, Mathematics, from his isolation centre.

“We ensured that; he was
transported under IPC to the Chemistry laboratory in his school.
“The invigilator was counselled
and given Personal Protective Equipment and the laboratory was decontaminated
afterwards.”
Attached to the message are

posed with others with the ambulance in the background among others.

Gombe State.
“A final year student of GSSS
Gombe tested positive for COVID-19 and was isolated yesterday (Sunday), today
