Nigerian street rapper, Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael better known as Zlatan Ibile is no doubt one of the most featured artistes of 2019.
The versatile entertainer in a chat with Hip TV revealed that he never knew he was the most featured Nigerian artiste at the moment.
According to him: “Yes the street love is crazy. But now, it’s far beyond that. I never knew I was the most featured artiste. I had just been recording my own songs and, in the process, other artistes tell me they want me on their track as well. I’m never tired of making music.”
Speaking further, the ‘Bolanle’ crooner noted that his music doesn’t appeal to street people alone.
“If you still listen to my music and you’re updated, you’ll know that I don’t make songs for the street people alone. Because of my story, background and the type of upbringing I had, people love me on the street. They feel I was less privileged and had fewer opportunities,” he said.
“Now, it’s far beyond just the street love. It now cuts across different factions and borders. If you listen to my new song ‘Bolanle’ and ‘This Year’, they’re totally different. I have a project coming up, my album. When you listen, you’ll see a new dimension to Zlatan.
“Actually, yes, there is no gainsaying that his music has received widespread acceptance among the youth and average citizens in Nigeria”.
Zlatan recently came under fire after he released a song where he mocked BBNaija’s Tacha. In the tune, he sang about ‘Tacha’s body odour. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday
