President Muhammadu Buhari on
Monday met behind closed doors with Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State, and
Nasir El-Rufa’i of Kaduna State, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Details of the meeting are still
being awaited, but according to NAN, Ortom told State House correspondents that
he was in the Villa to update the President on the current security situation
in Benue State.
Meanwhile, Buhari also met with
Mr Godwin Emefiele, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)
Emefiele who recently got
reappointed as governor of CBN shook hands with the president who congratulated
him.
The reason for the meeting was
not disclosed but this is coming following the controversy surrounding a leaked
audio exposing alleged missing N500 billion under Emefiele’s watch.
