After over 18 hours of waiting for the commencement of the announcement of the result of Saturday’s governorship supplementary election in Bauchi State, the process has commenced.
Supplementary elections were held in 36 Polling Units in 29 Wards across 15 Local Government Areas of the state on Saturday.
The delay, according to the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Ibrahim Abdullahi, who addressed journalists at about 1am on Sunday, said the delay was because the State Returning Officer, Prof. Kyari Mohammed, had yet to arrive the state.
The commencement of the process was consequent upon the arrival of the Returning Officer. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday
