Secondus warns INEC, reveals how APC plans to rig 2019 election

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus has raised alarm over alleged collaboration between the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, officials to rig the forthcoming 2019 election.

Secondus in a statement made available by his media aide, Ike Abonyi said the PDP had evidence to show that the APC was working with INEC officials to compromise results of 2019 election in their favour.

The National Chairman therefore warned the INEC and the nation’s security agencies to safeguard the unity of this country by being neutral in all their operation.

He noted that any bias action by the electoral umpire and security agencies to rig the election will plunge Nigeria into major crisis.

The statement read in part: “PDP has credible intelligence that some security operatives are being hired by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to connive with some officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to manipulate the election in their favour.

“Though there are still some good patriotic operatives who do their job professionally, PDP
advise the security operatives, INEC to be guided by the constitution of the country as any bias roles from them in this election is capable of plunging this country into major crisis.”

He added that the National Chairman said that the endorsement of the PDP Presidential candidate by all the apex ethnic bodies of the North, the East, the West, the South and the middle belt shows clearly where Nigeria is headed to in this election.

“By that endorsement which APC is refusing to accept as coming from the people, Nigerians of all divides have spoken that the APC administration can no longer continue,” Secondus added.
