Ololade ‘Lil Kesh’ Keshinro, a Nigerian singer and songwriter, says his greatest achievement so far in his music career is making his parents proud.
Lil Kesh, who started out as an artiste on Olamide’s YBNL record label, told Taylor Live Magazine that he didn’t know that he would become a professional singer.
When asked to state his greatest achievement in music, he responded: “The fact that I made my parents proud, regardless of how difficult it was to make it out of the ghetto is my greatest achievement.”
Commenting on his journey into the music industry, the ‘Shoki’ crooner said: “Did I know I’ll become a professional singer? No. But I started music at a very young age as a chorister in church, playing the drums and talking drums.
“My surrounding played a major role in my sense of creativity which is why I often talk about my everyday struggle and hardship I faced before my life turned around.”
According to Lil Kesh, being an artist means being a servant.
“We were created to serve one way or the other and I choose to serve through music.”
Lil Kesh who faced criticism for allegedly promoting money rituals in ‘Logo Benz’ song released a new single titled, ‘Undertaker’, on Monday
