Ethiopia’s Sinatatehu Leggese has won the fourth edition of the 2019 Access Bank Lagos city marathon 42km race.
The Ethiopia born who was a cynosure of eye among the 4000 participants from 58 countries breasted the tape 2:17:28 to emerge the winner on Saturday, smiling away with the grand prize of $50,000.
Closer to Leggese were Kenyan duo of Kipkorir Joshua and Williams Yegon who finished 2:18:16 and 2:19:04 respectively carting away $40,000 and $30000 as second and third prizes.
Also, Ethiopia’s Maleka Maseret Dinke won the female category.
Nigerian born athletic Goyet Gideon finished on the 14th position with 2:30:21 smiling home with N3m and the second Mwnata Pam Iliya who finished on the 16 position with 2:32:34 went home with N2M.
