The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar has defeated President Muhammadu Buhari of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, at Garki primary school – polling unit 005, Abuja.
Atiku polled 502 votes to the Buhari’s 292.
Also, Senator Philips Tanimu Aduda, the PDP Senatorial candidate scored 89 votes to beat his APC challenger, Zephaniah B. Jisalo who garnered 53 votes.
Aduda, an incumbent lawmaker representing the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, is seeking a re-election to the upper chamber of the National Assembly.
The election for the House of Representatives was not any different for Hon. Micha Jiba of the PDP who also is seeking a re-election to the lower chamber.
While Jiba polled 89 votes, his APC rival, Mustapha Lamorde got 50 votes.
