A statement issued by Nancy Shikaan, a counsel in the Chambers, quoted Etiaba as making the demand on Saturday in Abuja, in a letter with reference no. EESE&C/1/31/03/18 dated March 31, 2018 addressed to the minister.
The letter was titled “Re:Publication of false and defamatory statement against Prince Uche Secondus”.
He demanded for retraction, apology and payment of N1.5 billion as damages.
The lawyer said that the said publication had damaged the image of Prince Secondus as he has been ”humiliated, castigated and vilified by many as a result of the falsehood published by the Minister”.
Shikaan, according to the letter, noted that if Mohammed failed to meet their demand after 48 hours, they shall “within 72 hours from today, proceed to a court of competent jurisdiction to ventilate our clients right under the law.
“We shall further seek the protection of the court against you”.

Every suspected looter seems to be in denial, not one has owned up our tendered apology to the nation.
ReplyDeleteMost Nigerians are going about their day like it’s none of their business.
We the people are the problem of Nigeria. We are talking about our common wealth. People who were elected to manage affairs of the nation robbed us dey and we think it’s ok, or just plain politics. We should be very worried. If the layman doesn’t know, then listen up; this is why you lack proper medical care in public hospitals, why you pay so much for electricity that is hardly there.
These looters have denied you the chance of proper education, employment opportunities. In fact, they have kept you in bondage and made you a slave without chains.
In the words of killmonger - Death is better than a life of bondage.
Ask your kinsmen, whose name appear on that list to return all they have stolen. I’m sure you can see evidence of their loot by the lives they live.
APC should start walking the talk also. It is not enough to just list names. How many have been prosecuted? You have woefully failed Nigerians if you do not go on to give us justice.
Justice is blind. There are moles in your government too. Fish them out and let it serve as a deterrent to any would be looter.
Nigerians demand good governance!
Anybody who changes his principles depending on whom he is dealing with; That is not a man who can lead a nation.
