Former Minister of Aviation, Femi
Fani-Kayode, has criticized President Muhammadu Buhari, for speaking Hausa while
addressing the students of the Federal Government School in Dapchi, Yobe state.
Fani-Kayode, writing on Twitter,
stated that “there is something not right” about it and described it as
“shocking”.
He wrote: “Pres. Buhari went to
Dapchi the other day and spoke Hausa to students who are supposed to study the
english language and take English as a compulsory subject in WAEC. There is
something not right about the Pres. addressing those students in Hausa.
“Buhari’s Dapchi visit was
televised nationally and internationally. He blacked out the southern half of
Nigeria and the int. community. This brazen discrimination that has permeated
every facet of his government is SHOCKING but not surprising!”
The former Minister had
previously mocked Buhari for crying when
he met with parents of the 110 schoolgirls that were recently abducted by Boko
Haram terrorists in Dapchi.
