President Muhammadu Buhari has
come under attack by Nigerians, particularly social media users over his statement
that he is not in a hurry to act concerning the herdsmen attacks in Benue and
other parts of the country.
Buhari had on Thursday, after a
dinner at Pesidential Villa, explained that he is guided by historical
antecedents reason why he is not in a hurry to take decisions on the killings
in Benue State.
Reacting to this, Nigerians came
hard on Buhari for quick action in proscribing IPOB as terrorist organisation,
yet, failed to act against Fulani herdsmen.
Some claimed that Buhari was slow
to action because he is a Fulani man and leader of Fulani herdsmen.
Here are some comments:
@Alex “uh u were in a hurry to
label IPOB terrorists, You were in a hurry to arrest dasuki,You were in a hurry
to destroy our economy,You were in a hurry to increase price of fuel in
Nigeria,You were in a hurry to turn Aso rock to be for you and your family members
both nuclear and extended family’s inheritance .Dear God, don’t forget to
punish this man for me very well when he dies
@hilary “Mr president, as the
chief security officer in Nigeria you need to be proactive when it comes to a
matter of life and death ! There is no market where you can buy life. Many have
gone on this issue, your silence is not golden !
@abah “Hear the president!
“”reflecting” untill everyone is wiped out by ur fulanists you are just simply
strugling to justify your support for fulanists
@ubaeze “Mr president,you didnt
even give any reason.I think you such a confused humanbeing.Playing with human
lives.
@fred “We know why because they
killers are your people we can understand sir
@joeblack “You can not do
anything, because they are your brothers. And you are one of them before.
@usen “Evil president; the other
day you said you have deployed police IG to Benue, now you are saying ”why have
not acted”
@isaiah “Sorry president we know
why you are yet to act because you are not Nigerian president you are the
president of the Fulani herdsmen
@amadi “Why will you act when the
victims of Fulani Herdsmen killing are not your children or relations!!!
@samuel “You dey hear your mumu
president called Muhammadu Buhari why he didn’t act concerning fulani herdsmen
carnage in Benue state for God sake when are we going to have a good leader in
this country
@emmanuel “You acted immediately
to prescribe IPOB terrorists group and you use operation snake dance by army to
kill harmless citizens, now for you to act fast against your Fulani kinsmen who
go about with guns and other dangerous weapons to kill people and destroying
farmland you say that you are yet to act. Bear it in mind that the last day all
the blood that is splash under your time will be answered by you.
@Bassey “But you move fast to
Abia to kill unarmed people who were only agitating for injustice, thank God
the whole world can clearly tell where you belong.
@evansdaniel “He is reflecting on
history….hear the very clueless president? You sit there taking trash while
people are being killed by fulani herdsmen?
@ben “Better act fast for
Nigerians are running out of patience. Ur go slow is causing more harm than
good.
@julius “Not in a hurry to do
anything! I cant believe this! How long do you then need to do snything within
a four years term mandate?
@chidiwhyte “you’re not in a
hurry to do anything, even to protect lives when it matters? This is unbelievable
sir! Delay is danger
@AbOki “The reason why you should
go back to the farm. Those calling for your 2nd term need their brain assessed
by a vet.
@constant829 “Your statement did
not add up. It is either your inability to act, clueless on what do, or you are
in full support of the unlawful killing by fulani herdsmen since the cows
belong to cabals. You are not fit to be president because of your tribal
politics.
@onakoye “If you like wait from
now till next year na still foolish decision u go still make.
@stephen “But you rush down there and kill IPOB to call them
terrorist organization
