Professor Iyorwuese Hagher,
former Nigerian Ambassador to Mexico and Canada, has alleged that Miyetti Allah
Cattle Breeders Association, MACBAN, has a trans-border Army and President
Muhammadu Buhari is aware of it.
The former Nigerian Ambassador,
who hails from Benue State alleged that the body hired this trans-border Army
to attack Nigerians.
Hagher, who predicted the renewed
Fulani attacks, made the allegations during an interview with Mercy Abang, a
social media expert.
According to Hagher, “The Miyetti
Allah have an army. Whether they hire it out of people that are trans-border. I
call them trans-border army and they hire them. They are all over West Africa
and anytime they are hired, there is a form of complicity at the border.
“There must be complicity for
them to entering Nigeria’s border at will. The borders are porous, there is no
question about it but there must be complicity because the President and the
Security agents know.”
He also berated the Inspector
General of Police, IGP, Ibrahim Idris for referring to the genocidal attack as
a communal clash and called it a diversionary tactic.
Recall that the former Ambassador
also disclosed that the arms being used by the Fulani fighters were coming from
the Nigerian armoury.
In a interview with Daily Sun,
the former envoy also said having studied the situation so far, he was alarmed
to discover that Buhari was one of the grand patrons of the herdsmen.
