The Adamawa State Governor,
Muhammadu Bindow on Friday assured Igbos residing in the state of their safety.
Bindow said his government would
use all apparatus at its disposal to protect the lives and property of people
residing in the state irrespective of their tribe or religion.
He said Igbos should feel free to
carry out their normal business activity as they were at home.
The governor gave the assurance
while meeting with heads of security outfits and Igbo community in Yola, the
state capital.
Bindow also stated that the
crisis between members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and the
Nigerian Military on the South East is not in the interest of the country.
According to Bindow, “Adamawa
people are peace loving citizens, what is going on in the South East is not in
the interest of the good people of the region.
