The Deputy Chief Imam of the Abuja National Mosque, Dr. Muhammad Kabir Adam yesterday pleaded with the Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, the main umbrella body of University lecturers in the country to arrive at a common ground and call off the strike in the interest of the students.
According to him, it has become imperative for both the Federal government and ASUU to end the on-going strike in order to help the students go back to their studies.
The Deputy Imam, in his Eid- El- Kabir sermon yesterday at the National Mosque, Abuja also called on Christians and Muslims to embrace peace.
