CNN Admitted That Buhari Spoke As President Of Africa – Lauretta Onochie

The Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Social Media, Lauretta Onochie, Wednesday, said that CNN commended Buhari for his wonderful speech at the 72 session of United Nations General Assembly, UNGA, in New York, noting that he spoke as President of Africa.

Recall that Buhari, in paragraph six of his speech said, “In the last year, the international community came together to focus on the need for gender equality, youth empowerment, social inclusion, and the promotion of education, creativity and innovation.

“The frontiers of good governance, democracy including holding free and fair elections, and enthronement of the rule of law are expanding everywhere, especially in Africa.

“Our faith in democracy remains firm and unshaken. Our regional organisation ECOWAS came together to uphold democratic principles in The Gambia – as we had done previously in Cote D’Ivoire.”

On that note however, Onochie went to her facebook handle and said “Not that we didn’t know it, but @MBuhari’s Leadership role in Africa has received a boost with CNN admitting he spoke as President of Africa.”

Mr. President is currently at New York for the general debate of UNGA 72 session, while report has it that Vice president Yemi Osinbajo presides the Federal Executive meeting in Abuja.

  1. Lauretta Onochie, you're there to correct CNN when they commit blunders. You make CNN feel good by assuming that Africa is a COUNTRY and not a CONTINENT. Perhaps you too don't the difference. You're there to let CNN know that Buhari spoke as the President of Nigeria. Africa is the second largest continent on earth just so you know. Let me be clear, what CNN said is like saying President Donald Trump spoke like the President of North America. That's an idiotic statement. Begin to correct CNN right now and let CNN stop insulting Africa.
