Why we suspended #ReturnOrResign sit-out – Charly Boy

Leader of the Return or Resign protest group, Mr. Charles Oputa, aka Charly Boy, has adduced reasons for the call-off of the protest which asked President Buhari Muhammadu to either return from his medical leave overseas or resign from office.


Taking to his Instagram handle, Oputa said he and his group called off the strike because it has been misconstrued as ethnic protest.

He also corrected the impression that it was an attack on the person of President Buhari, saying, “It wasn’t a personal attack on our sick President.”

He also said it was to save everyone involved from mobbing death, “Because I value the lives of the tenacious, consistence, dogged, rugged and focused exceptional youths.”

This wasn't an ethnic Protest, but they turned it so. It was a Peaceful Protest, but they made it violent. It wasn't a personal attack on our sick President, but they twisted the matter.
