The Lagos Police Command has announced the appointment of Edgar Imohimi, a Deputy Commissioner of Police, as the new Commissioner of Police.
Imohimi replaces Fatai Owoseni who had been in the position for two years. Owoseni will now assume the post of Commissioner of Police in Charge of Administration at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
It was learnt that Imohimi was instrumental in fighting the reprehensible Badoo cult gang in Ikorodu as well as in the rescue of the kidnapped Igbonla pupils.
He was named the Acting Commissioner of Police last week.
Imohimi once served as the Divisional Police Officer of Shomolu, Ikeja, Surulere, and Seme.
