The National Secretary of the All
Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Maimala Buni, says President Muhammadu
Buhari’s firm resolve on Nigeria’s unity was a dismissal of quit notices issued
by some groups across Nigeria.
Buni in a chat with newsmen in
Damaturu on Monday said that the presidential broadcast was “straight to the
point as Nigeria’s unity is not negotiable”.
“Majority of Nigerians are
satisfied with the submission of the president because it has given every
Nigerian a sense of security, citizenship and, true sense of belonging to
reside and carry out their legitimate business in any part of the country,” he
said.
According to him, the call for
secession and restructuring were diversionary and contradicted the ideals of
patriotism and corporate unity of the nation.
“This administration is committed
to a stronger and united country, with good governance, transparency and
prudence as our guiding principles,” he added.
Maimaila urged individuals and
groups to channel their grievances through their representatives in the
national assembly.
“As democrats, we should
appreciate the fact that the National Assembly and National Council of State
are the two legitimate bodies for national discourse and anything outside this
is illegal and unconstitutional.
“We should collectively pray for
improved health of Mr President and more strength for him to serve Nigeria
better,” the APC chieftain added.

ReplyDeleteTherefore the arrest order no longer stand kwo! What about the rule of law? Politics is gradually killing Nigeria and with time naturally what all these politicians are afraid to happen will definitely and peacefully happen on its own! (USSR) remember? The oil money will definitely stop and all will tighten their belts.
ReplyDeleteAre you then insinuating that we have two presidents calling the shots? Where one issues an order and another rubbishes it? It is a shame! The order was tantamount to insubordination and it is unfortunate and sad to see those behind it go unpunished. It is a Pity? Are we still in a country once referred to as a "giant of Africa?"
ReplyDeleteAPC Failures.. They Wrecked our creamy Economy because they know nothing than propaganda. You think we have forgotten when PMB said he was once a petroleum minister and said they never borrowed money to lay the pipes to kaduna and others. And said he will make Petrol N45,now its N145.
