Presidential spokesman, Mr. Femi Adesina who addressed the Niger Delta youths who rallied for President Buhari commended them for the maturity they exhibited as they showed their support and loyalty to the ailing President.
He assured them that their messages would be duly communicated to Buhari to show him that Nigerian youths are still in support of his administration and are praying for his quick recovery.
He criticized the Charly Boy group for taking their protests to the market, saying it was wrong, stressing that ethnicity should not be introduced into the protests.
He said, “Taking a protest to the market in the first place was wrong, so whoever took the protest to the market place was the one that attempted to make it get out of hand.
“We are not for ethnic cleavages, we are for one Nigeria. Anybody that attempted to ethnicise protests failed, because everyone has a right to protest and ethnicity is not something that should be introduced to protest.”
Adesina commended the Niger Delta youths for rallying for the President, noting that this has reinforced his belief that the nation would remain one.
