In sum, what happened to the Nigerian national team was poor football. Here in US, there's what's called "cover, support and defend". Unfortunately, that wasn't there in the Super Eagles we watched today. Secondly, the goalkeeper rightly rushed out but he would have brought down the on-rushing South African even if that would reduce the Super Eagles to ten men. Lastly, the Eagles were terribly uncoordinated in the goal area. Both Victor Moses and John Mikel Obi must feature in the remaining matches.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I'm concerned and judging from yesterday's match against South Africa, Nigeria has got no team yet. They lack coordination and team spirit. It seems to be working just fine in the earlier part of the match but they lost it and it cost them the match.
ReplyDeleteThe chief coach needs to bring in Mikel and especially Moses. Their experiences matters now. Kelechi has become to slow for a striker. Now I understand why Man city has kept him on the bench lately.
