Senator representing Ogun East,
Buruji Kashamu, on Wednesday berated the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose
for alleging that President Muhammadu Buhari was on life support.
Kashamu, in a statement he issued
in Lagos said it was wrong for Fayose to play God with the President’s health
condition.
Following Buhari’s current
medical trip to London, Fayose had on Wednesday claimed that the President
had been on life support in the last 20 days.
But reacting to Fayose’s
allegation, Kashamu said, “Nigerians overwhelmingly elected President Buhari
and if today he is having challenges, it is despicable for any reasonable
person to play politics with it because nobody is above health challenges.
”It is unfair and condemnable for Fayose to continue playing God over the president’s health condition; his ridiculous comments are invariably heating up the polity and fanning the embers of disaffection amongst Nigerians.Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday
“Are the people from the North not in support of the effectual acting president? Is the acting president not working with the structures that both he and President Buhari put in place?
‘’Are the National Assembly, the Federal Executive Council and the Council of State, which Fayose is a member of as a serving governor, not in total support of the activities of the acting president?
”If everything is going on well under the leadership of the highly respected and credible leadership of the acting president, who is Fayose to play to the gallery and thereby insulting the sensibility of Nigerians?”
