I will sacrifice my last of blood to ensure peace, Emir of Katsina tells Igbos

The Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir, has said that Nigeria will continue to remain one in spite of its multi-ethnic diversity.

Kabir made the assertion on Friday at his palace in Katsina, when he addressed leaders of Igbo community and other Nigerians residing in Katsina State.
“I am responding to the quit notice given to some Nigerians residing in the North by some group of people who are enemies of peace.
“Here in Katsina, I am ready to sacrifice my last drop of blood to ensure peace and protect all Nigerians residing in the state,’’ he said.
The emir urged the different communities residing in the state not to panic as the Emirate Council and state government would take all necessary measures to ensure peaceful coexistence.
‘’You are Nigerians, because some of you were born here and you don’t have better place than Katsina.
‘’So, continue to conduct your lawful business activities, we are behind you.
‘’You are my sons and daughters like any other person, Katsina is your home, so, feel free do not go anywhere,’’ Kabir said.
The emir also urged them to continue to pray for peace and unity in the country, to ensure sustainable development.

  1. What a WISE man and a true leader statement. More of this sir, Emir Kabir of Katsina. This is purely a statement of a patriotic Nigerian. Who says that wisdom is lacking in Nigeria? Who says love is out of the window in Nigeria? Who says there's no more truth in Nigeria? At least to some degrees, they exist. Who says that the new principle of Nigerians is, "two wrongs are right?" WOW !!! Ride on Emir Kabir and keep on standing for and saying whatever u believe that is right and don't allow anyone to shut u up. This that u said is right and the rest of brotherly peace loving people are with u. Nigeria belongs to every Nigerian regardless of which region they are from originally.

No other Nigerian has any right to tell another Nigerian where they can or cannot live at. That becomes terrorism and ethnicism which is a form of racism if it happens.

Your statement‘’You are my sons and daughters like any other person, Katsina is your home, so, feel free do not go anywhere,’’ makes me very happy. That is what should be said to everyone in every part of Nigeria by every leader and every Nigerian from their hearts. With such a statement, we know the heart of the people and their allegiance to this nation called Nigeria.

Tanx a lot sir @ your Excellency Emir Kabir of Katsina. My respect of u among the wise and patriotic Nigerians is on the increase and I pray that more of people with the same mind of peaceful coexistence like yours will come on board to bringing an amicable solution to our lingering problems IJN. May the knowledge of God through Jesus Christ His Son be made available to u with protection and longevity IJN. Tanx, tanx, and tanx and have a blessed day IJN. Friday 06092017 @ 10:27 am.

  2. The Emir is a father. And, as such, he has spoken well... But, this is nit a matter of speeches or talks. It was like this in those days when Col. Hassan promised same to the Easterners, but the killing started in his doorstep. The Emir may try to protect his citizens and his people may kill him and still kill the citizens he wants to protect. The best thing now is for Nigeria to call for a referendum...

  3. Let words be matched with actions. We heard such words when an Igbo woman was said to have been beheaded in Kano
