Yesterday, some Nigerians on social media were peddling rumors of President Buhari's death in the UK. Reacting to the rumors, Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, in a statement released on social media, said nothing unpleasant has happened to President Buhari.

"Baseless rumors are trending again that an unpleasant thing has happened to our beloved President, Muhammadu Buhari. If you have received this information on WhatsApp or Facebook, disregard it because it is plain lies spread by vested interests to create panic. Nothing unpleasant has happened to the President. No cause for apprehension. Thanks for the many calls" he wrote on Facebook.

  1. All these errand sycophantic old men surrounding Baba are playing God. ALLAH holds the key to life and death. ALLAH knows the time for everyone. So these old men should realise that Baba is not God and is subject to ALLAH . Garba, are you suggesting that Baba will live forever because of the monetary benefits you get as his Adviser? Once ALLAH has decreed no man can act contrary hence if ALLAH appointed time has come you can do nothing about it.
However, We are praying for Baba to recover and the wishing that ALLAH help him in his recovery.

  2. Isiaka ,it is a very simple response. Where did he suggest that Baba will live forever. Nowhere at all. He only debunked fake rumour and that's all. Nothing more. Buhari is hale and hearty. No shaky. He will lead us till 2023..
