Nigerians have shocked the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, by rating the performances of President Muhammadu Buhari and state governors of the APC poor in a poll conducted by the party on its verified twitter handle.
Two years on: What's your assessment of the APC-led administration in Nigeria? Kindly vote and RT— APC Nigeria (@APCNigeria) May 29, 2017
"Two years on: What's your assessment of the APC-led administration in Nigeria? Kindly vote and RT," the party asked on the micro-blogging site. There were four options; Poor, Average, Excellent and Indifferent.
The online poll recorded 14, 532 votes with 54 percent of the respondents rating the administration as poor; 33 percent rated the administration as average while 10 percent voted for excellent. Three percent of the respondents were indifferent.
The APC made use of the social media to appeal to the youths during the 2015 general elections, which was won by Buhari, defeating the then incumbent, Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
May 29 marks two years of the advent of the President Buhari administration at the federal level, as well as the mid-term anniversary for the majority of state administrations in the country. APC controls 24 states, PDP governs 11 while APGA has one state. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

So is it not poor?

They might be right. However 14,500 voters in a population of 170 million people is statistically insignificant. It might not be representative of the opinion of the majority.
ReplyDeleteThe subjects used was significantly low for the assessment.
DeleteIts because the uneducated northernites don't use twitter.
DeleteOnly the north would have rated him good
Student of statistic will rubbish the sample size considering the probable available population. The technique used might permit more than one vote. I still believes Buhari administration should be given more time to fix the multi facet challenges that is facing our nation.
ReplyDeleteMy own vote was not there.
ReplyDeleteAdd my own if it's not too late.
Buhari's administration is very poor
Enter your comment...people forget that our state governors contributed more 60% of this regime problems talk less of legislotters.
ReplyDeleteThere should be an additional option ie "Extremely Poor". That is my rating for the current administration. I was one of their main supporters but I am highly disappointed with what I am seeing. Two years is more than enough for any government that is going somewhere to show it. This government has only brought pains to Nigerians.
ReplyDeleteDont give any excuse, because everyone has the chance to vote if the really want to make the government know how far the have gone. Buy a phone, sign up to twitter, follow APC and make a vote. Simple
