Muhammadu Buhari may attend today's juma'at service — Presidency

The presidency has hinted that President Muhammadu Buhari may attend the State House mosque for today's juma'at service.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, disclosed this in a statement on the postponement of the proposed visit of the President of Niger Republic, Mahamadou Issoufou to Nigeria.

Adesina noted that the re-scheduling was at the instance of the visiting president, as all arrangements had been made to receive him in Abuja, including plan ‘to attend the Juma’at prayers together’

“All arrangements had been concluded for President Buhari to receive his Nigerien counterpart and his delegation at the forecourt of the Presidential Villa and attend the Jumaat prayers together as well as lunch, before the last-minute postponement,” said Adesina.

Recall that the president, last Friday, was not at the State House mosque for juma'at service.

The service was attended by the governors of Kano, Zamfara and Ogun States, Abdullahi Ganduje, Abdulaziz Yari and Ibikunle Amosun respectively.
