Gonzalo Higuain scored a brace as Juventus won 2-0 at Monaco in their Champions League semifinal first leg.
Juve broke the deadlock in some style at the Stade Louis II, with Gonzalo Higuain slotting home on 29 minutes after having played his part in some sublime build-up play involving Paulo Dybala and Dani Alves.
Alves also provided the assist for Higuain's second just before the hour mark, swinging in a deep cross for the former Real Madrid and Napoli striker to steer home.
Monaco -- who had eliminated Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund en route to the last four -- showed glimpses of their attacking quality but could find no way past Gianluigi Buffon in the Juve goal.
