Huddersfield will play Reading in the Sky Bet Championship play-off final at Wembley after they beat Sheffield 4-3 on penalties Wednesday night.
After a 0-0 draw in the first leg, the teams couldn’t be separated at the end of 210 minutes of football, after Steven Fletcher’s goal was cancelled out by a Tom Lees own-goal in the second leg.
The match ended 1-1 at the end of extra-time.
David Wagner’s men scored four of their five spot-kicks, while on-loan Liverpool goalkeeper Danny Ward, saved from Sam Hutchinson and Fernando Forestieri.
Reading and Huddersfield will battle it out for a single Premier League place on Monday, May 29, in a winner-takes-all tie.
The winner could also earn up to £200million in Premier League revenue.
