Vanguard reports that the yet to be confirmed statement, circulating in the social media and is said to be from the Dean of Students, Ahmadu Bello University, ABU Zaria, Bar. Ahmed Tanimu.

“Dino is a graduate of ABU Zaria. I do not like him but the campaign of calumny and falsehood against him must stop. I recalled a meeting with the then VC, chief security officer Mallam Ashiru.”
At the meeting it was resolved that all politically exposed students and unionist must be graduated for peace to reign in ABU.
The VC started by asking me, the then SECGEN ABUSUG, when am I supposed to graduate? I told him I was only in 4 hundred level law then, he then asked after so many other commrades like Anslem, Chris, Ochums, Arokoyo, Ribadu, Renshaw, Kamal, Ntom, SB, Bright, Ganzi, Kombitel, Realman, Kurfi, Kabir Mustspha, Tijani Kabir (refused to graduate and 8 years later became NANS president), Precious Abdul, MB Mustspha, Dino etc……he gave a marching order that the Dean student affairs must ensure that our types are promptly graduated and leave the school in peace and in good time. Referring to all the so called elders and Unionist of ABU then.
The case of Elder Dino as he then was, was even the worst. In truism, Dino never wanted to graduate from ABU. He was benefiting handsomely and almost feeding from Unionism like many Unionist, he deliberately kept having carry-overs so as to remain in ABU against the orders of the VC.
Trust the smart VC Mahdi, he ensured that Dino swiftly passed all his carry-overs. When Dino resisted that move by the VC, he was told by the Dean that the University has the power to pass and graduate any of it’s students if they are satisfied that such a student has attained sufficient learning or good character standing(whether he actually pass all his papers or not).”
In Dino’s case, the emphasis was placed on his good character and not necessarily the waived passing.”
I repeat, Dino is a bonifide graduate of ABU Zaria, Department of Geography and Faculty of Social Science. He has his genuine transcript and certificate. ReplyDeleteSo, Dino Melaye got Waver to graduate from ABU because he refused to graduate because of his Dubious activities at ABU, No wonder he has been in to dubious Activities from his University period and he failed to Graduate and more over he may have been Exempted from NYSC but Show his group Picture with some Youth coppers while he was in touts dress. ReplyDeletePlease permit me to air my opinion and express my deepest thought on this platform. It is a sad day in Nigeria to have somebody like Mr. Dino Melaye to be the voice of the people. I like him for being vocal but I have always suspected his motives and character by associating with the senate president who is alleged to be corrupt. And of course, birds of the same feather flock together. Remember he was once in the house of assembly before being disgraced out. Now, my concern is that there's a lot of shady things about this man, Dino Melaye. I read what is being posted by the school authority and it is sad to note that this man never and truly graduated from the University. I am glad that he has taken Sahara Reporters to court. And I am certain, he is going to lose, big time and his certificate be revoked. By the special grace of God, I am also a graduate of a prestigious university and every graduate is awarded a certificate after completion of academic requirements and being satisfied to be of good conduct or character. In this case of Mr. Melaye, he has failed those two conditions. The dean from ABU wrote that he was allowed to graduate based on his character and not academic results. Can you believe that? I am not sure the post is genuine. How can a dean of a faculty write a such thing? What character did he possess? Someone who has refused to graduate on his own volition and chose to be a student activist (I dey laugh). And we knew also that he embezzled or misappropriated funds that belonged to students and was sacked as a result. The university must be probed because not only Dino was awarded a fake certificate but many others. I have a request for you Mr. Melaye, right now, vacate your seat in the senate and let an honourable Kogi person come in and represent the Kogites. What kind of country is Nigeria for God sake? Mr. Melaye was asked by his colleagues in the senate to tender his certificate and he appealed to them to let him tender it in court. Whereas he is sending out his NYSC pictures, tendering a master's thesis before the public. If you could do that, why can't you tender a one page certificate? You are an idiot for playing on our collective intelligence. The Dean also affirmed that he did not serve because he was exempted due to his age at that time. His online biography indicated that he was born January 1, 1974. That means that he is 43 years now. He claimed that he graduated in 1999. That means he graduated at the age of 25. Fellow Nigerians, NYSC age limit is 30years. I also graduated at the age of 25 and I served. So who is deceiving who? We are monitoring events. It also means that he forged his age. He is not 43 years as claimed because he was not born in 1974 and he does not really look 43. To me he looks between 46-54 years. His real age must be revealed to the public. He is a pathological liar calling fellow liars a liar.
ReplyDeleteSo we have been electing touts to represent us. What a profile Dino Melaye has! Spent 8 years for a 4-year course, still didn't do well enough to graduate, had to be forced to "graduate" because he was a trouble-maker! And this man represents a constituency in Nigeria!

Clearly he is a born thug, and the response coming from the school is merely damage control, they must have received a lot of calls and threat to come up with this thrash write up. Shame .
