Barcelona manager, Luis Enrique, has claimed he did not see if Lionel Messi celebrated or not, after the Argentine forward scored the winner in their 2-1 win over Leganes on Sunday.
Messi opened scoring early in the game and after the visitors equalized, he netted the winning goal from the penalty spot in the 90th minute.
However, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner was almost motionless after his goal sealed the three points, in a week that saw them crushed 4-0 by Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
“I didn’t see whether he celebrated or not,” Luis Enrique said after the game.
“And I’m not the person who has to answer that.”
Enrique, however, insisted his team put a better performance, than they did in Paris on Tuesday.
“Compared to the PSG game, I think we were better in everything,” he said.
“We were much better. It’s obvious that we are not as fluid in terms of goalscoring chances, but we were better than we were in Paris – even if some people don’t see it.”
