The Chairman, Senate Committee of the Federal Capital Territory, Senator Dino Melaye, on Thursday said the lawmakers could call for a review of the contract awarded for the construction of the official residence of the vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo.
According to Melaye, the gatehouse of the three-bedroomed apartment will cost N250m.
He also described the cost of the official residence being constructed for the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives as inflated.
The senator made the revelations at a press briefing in Abuja.

The 3bedroom was to cost 250m, while the church in the compound to cost 88m and the mosque 99m. I wonder why ordinary gate is costing another 250m. Only God knows the cost of furniture, kitchen utensils, curtain and the roofing sheets for the building. Since each stage of the house comes with different amount and awarded separately. Yet we are told no money but they want to spend over 2billion just for 3 bed room flat. They doing these to cover for the president own residence. I'm sure Nigeria will have to take loan from China when building for President. Nonsense.
