Ordega won her third African Women’s Cup of Nations title in Cameroon on Saturday, but she said the neglect of women’s football by the country was regrettable.
“If I had not played for Nigeria, trust me I would have played somewhere else,” the Washington Spirit player said.
“The U17 and U20 teams have been blamed for the performances at their recent World Cups, but they were poorly prepared for these competitions.
“If this continues, Nigeria will soon cease to be a force in Africa because there will be no future Super Falcons.”
The Falcons are currently in Abuja waiting to be paid by the Nigeria Football Federation.

You are also a disgrace to Nigeria. Haba ! if you are one of the few out of the millions chosen to wear your country's colour, in a global competition, and you a not proud, then you a not worth to be a Nigerian Shame on you.
ReplyDeleteEven when she is speaking the truth!? HabA, lets be realistic....
DeleteNa you b disgrace. Does the NFF invest in woman football as she said? Ppl,even Nigerians echo the words "God bless America" cos the country has done it own part. Was it not your minister who said the other day that we should stop wasting money on world cup qualifiers? It's our leaders attitude that is fueling her regret. Or because others are not saying it? At least even the presidents wife is a witness to this fact.
