Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on media and publicity, Femi Adesina has explained what transpired between Mr. president and his visitors from the Niger Delta region during their crucial meeting on Tuesday.
It can be recalled that the presidency had earlier on issued a statement about what was discussed during the meeting. In the meeting, whereas the Niger Delta elders listed some 16-point demands which included: allocation of oil blocs to them, review of the presidential amnesty programme and the introduction of fiscal federalism among others to the president as preconditions to a lasting peace in the region, the President however charged them to embrace peace as the only way to development in the region.
