Ondo election loss: I’ll reveal my next line of action soon - PDP's Jegede

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the Saturday’s governorship election in Ondo State, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede (SAN), has said he would soon make his next line of action known to the public.

Jegede, who lost the election to a former President of the Nigeria Bar Association, Chief Rotimi Akeredolu, spoke with journalists in Akure, the state capital on Sunday.

The immediate former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in the state who did not commend or lcondemn the conduct of the poll, insisted that his reaction on the election would soon be made public.

He said, “I should thank our people for their steadfastness. We are studying the situation and very soon you will know my position and my party’s position.

“You all know the event that led to the election, we were in court, I got judgment 48 hours to the election, our request for postponement was turned down for the reason not known to us.”

Corroborating Jegede stance, the state Chairman of the PDP, Mr. Clement Faboyede, disclosed that the party would meet on Monday to decide its position over the outcome of the election.

” The party will meet tomorrow to announce our decision.” Faboyede stated.
