Trump had yesterday emerged the winner of the fiercely contested US Presidential election.
In a statement, the former President, congratulated Trump and wished the American people well in the choice of the Republican as President.
Jonathan said, “I congratulate America’s choice, President-elect Donald J. Trump, and I also salute Hillary Clinton for conceding. Having taking this route myself, I know it takes great self sacrifice and shows her strength of character. I am very encouraged by Mr. Trump’s words in his victory speech where he said “It is time for us to come together”. This is true not only for America, it is also true for the world at large.

I seem not to understand this English 'Commend someone for Conceeding defeat'. Whenvan election is conducted and someone does well and wins, and the other looses, How does commending a loosed come in here? I don't understand this. Someone should help me out here. Jonathan lost election because of his bad style, they started cpmmending him and said he conceded defeat. Hillary Clinton lost election in a humiliating way and called Trump to congratulate him, they started commending her for conceding defeat. What would both losers have done? Fight? Nonsence. Please no body should change or alter the traditional English. Why would Jonathan commend Clinton for losing an election? That shows Jonathan's level of reasoning and understanding.
