The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed December 10 for the controversial re-run election in Rivers State.
The delay in the conduct of the election had attracted the attention of the Senate, which on Wednesday gave the commission an ultimatum to conduct the pending re-run election or force the Senate to embark on strike.
Rivers State still has a senatorial, House of Representatives and House of Assembly elections pending.
The commission also fixed dates for Lagos State and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) pending elections.
According to a statement by the electoral body, Lagos and FCT re-run polls have been scheduled for December 3.
