Aaron Ramsey has showed his support for his Arsenal teammate, Alex Iwobi who scored an own goal that helped PSG escape with a 2-2 draw in Wednesday’s Uefa Champions League game.
Iwobi headed into his own net in an attempt to clear his defence following a corner-kick taken by the Ligue 1 champions.
He was replaced almost immediately after his howler by Granit Xhaka, and Ramsey absorbed Iwobi of any blame insisting it was not intentional.
“You’ve got to feel for him, but he wasn’t aware of what was behind him,” Ramsey said after the game.
“I feel for him but we’re in it together. It was important not to lose and that’s what we managed not to do.”
Arsenal who are second in Group A must defeat Basel in their last group game, while Ludogorets beat PSG to finish as group winners.

Gunner for life
ReplyDeleteGunner all the way Iwobi don't worry it just a game thank God it ended up a draw
What was he doing in that defensive position? He was playing out of position.
ReplyDeleteIt's evidence that young man's game is going down... Perhaps his rapid success is entering his young head. Na so black man be. Let him be benched for the rest of the season joo
Has he offended you b4?..... Do you know about football at all? U are asking, what is he doing in the defence position.... If you ve not watched the match, you read in this write-up dat, the visiting team was playing corner into his box. If a team is playing corner into your box, won't you as an attacker or mid-fielder come to defend? .... U are there making stupid/foolish assertion..... Lol.
DeleteBad belle. Players do have their unfortunate moments on the field.
ReplyDeleteWhy don't you encourage the young lad just like his teammate did. Mschewwww
It wasn't an own goal. The ball was headed on goal it only brushed his head and went in. Besides the goal was awarded to Lucas...Iwobi is a fine young player.
