The Annual General Meeting of the NPFL club owners will consider a proposal for the new Nigeria league season to begin by the first weekend of December.
The executive secretary of NPFL club owners, Alloy Chukwuemeka, said the AGM will soon deliberate on the new season to commence in the first week of next month.
"The NPFL club owners have received a proposal from the LMC that the league would commence by first week of December tentatively,” Chukwuemeka disclosed.
"The proposal will be considered at the Annual General Meeting of the club owners.”.
Chukwuemeka also said eight sponsors are jostling to be part of the new league season.
"About eight corporate bodies are currently jostling to sponsor the Nigeria Premiership League for the next season,” he said.
