There are indications that Anambra state governor, Willie Obiano, may dump the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, for the All Progressive Congress, APC.
According to a Punch report, the recent suspension of the party's National Chairman, Victor Oye has left cracks in the party.
An APGA NWC member said Obiano was against the suspension.
“The governor was calling us to stop the suspension, but nobody listened to him. Now what we are hearing is that the governor may join the APC to realize his re-election next year," the person said.
"If that happens, you know what that means to our party. Obiano is the only governor we have in APGA”
Senior Special Assistant to Governor Obiano on Media, Mr. Emeka Ozumba, refused to comment on the matter.
“It’s an APGA thing," he said. "We don’t engage on speculation. The governor is busy trying to realise his stimulus package on recession for the people of the state.
APGA chairman in the state, Sir Nobert Obi said he can't comment on the matter at the moment.

Let him defect and fell woefully.. Anambrarians can't ever welcome such
ReplyDeleteIf Obiano like let him defect to Kilimanjaro
ReplyDeleteIf he tries it, it will "political suicide". Anambra is first APGA, next, PDP, PPA before any other party but never, never APC. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER
