Liverpool have signed 6ft 5ins Bury teenager Emeka Obi, dubbed the best 15-year-old in England.
The centre-back is the youngest player to pull on a Shakers shirt after making his professional debut in August – aged 15 and 86 days – in the 4-1 win over Morecambe in the Checkatrade Trophy.
Kop boss Jurgen Klopp – who loves snapping up top youth talents – is willing to spend a six-figure sum on the giant kid, whose Gigg Lane boss Gary Flitcroft waxed lyrical about after he made his bow and sparked the Anfield interest.
Flitcroft said: “I think he’s the best talent right now at 15 years old in the entire country.
“He only came in the building two years ago and nothing fazes him.
“He’s been training with the first team and he’s going back to school next week.
“We’ve had him for five weeks, training with the first team, training with Ryan Kidd and he’s been playing with the under-18s.
“He’s just turned 15, he’s a man mountain, but we teach them how to play football and he’s going to be an unbelievable asset to the football club.
“He’s a kid that’s really switched on, I’ve watched him while he’s been on summer holidays and he’s been in every single day."
The huge talent is apparently already very keen to win over the Anfield fans and has been tidying up his Twitter account to erase any possible hints of his rumoured love for Premier League rivals Manchester United.
The deal between the two clubs is all done with the two clubs are now waiting on approval from the EFL and Premier League.
However, due to his Nigerian heritage, visa issues are currently holding up the move.
