The civic reception by Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, in honour of Nigeria champions Enugu Rangers earlier slated for Tuesday has been shifted to Friday.
However, the venue still remains Orthopaedic Hospital, Enugu where injured striker Ifeanyi Egwim is being treated.
Rangers spokesman Foster Chime confirmed exclusively to newsmen Monday afternoon that the date for the event has been moved to Friday.
“The governor wants the reception to be a holistic one. He wants everybody associated at one time or the other with the club to be part of it,” Chime said.
“Among those expected at the event include former governor of the state Chief Jim Nwobodo.
“It is an event that the governor wants to showcase the fact that the club have done well to win the league after 32 years.
“As we speak, a six-man planning committee including the commissioner for sports, Charles Ndukwu, and others.”
