A chieftain of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Dr Jude Ejefobiri, has charged the Federal Government to develop the six geo-political zones without sentiment.
Ejefobiri also charged Nigerians to make the nation habitable for the benefit of the citizens and the greatness of the country at large.
Ejefobiri told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Awka that the Federal Government should do everything possible to unite Nigerians to remain an entity.
“It is an open secret that if we all emphasis on the things that bind us together as a nation more than the things that divide us, Nigeria might oust America as the leading global power.
“I am pleading with President Muhammadu Buhari to do all within his power to ensure that all regions in the country are carried along in terms of appointments and infrastructure development, “he said.
Ejefobiri said that members of the group in Abuja had sought the partnership of the FCT minister to enable them to invest in the area for the development of the country.
He called on other regions to emulate such act, saying that if all the regions worked together, Nigeria will be better for it.
“I, therefore, want to appeal to other regions in the country to follow suit by going to other parts of the country for investment, thereby cementing a unified nation,’’ he said.
