EFCC arrests Jonathan’s former spokesman, Reuben Abati

Fresh reports reaching NigerianEye says the EFCC have arrested the former Special Adviser to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on Media, Dr. Reuben Abati.

Mr. Abati, who was spokesperson to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan was arrested on Monday and is expected to spend at least Monday night at the office of the anti-graft agency, EFCC.

Abati is being questioned for allegedly receiving some money from former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, EFCC sources told NE.

Mr. Dasuki is currently being tried by the EFCC for his management of arms funds under him , in what is now known as #Dasukigate.

Mr. Abati’s arrest makes it at least three former aides of Mr. Jonathan who are currently in EFCC custody.

A former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro, is still with the commission since last week Monday when he voluntarily surrendered himself after staying months away from the country.

Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Jonathan campaign spokesperson, was arrested on Friday and is still with the commission.

NigerianEye will provide more details shortly.

  4. You people talking in this way should educate yourself more on what you are saying. Those arrested are those who got part of the money meant for purchasing arms to fight Boho Horam which was diverted by Dasuki. He turned it be a national cake giving it to his party members at his will. Tell me he who has been arrested without involving in sharing the money. You people should reason and stop talking foolishly.Any way their former boss said he was elected to spread wealth , may br Dasuki was assisting him to accomplish this objective through the arms money. May Allah be with Nigeria to overcome people like you mumu calling others mumu. No respect for the elders. What do you expect your end to be ?
