  3. Christians have the DUTY to ignore this declaration if they still want to be respected in Nigeria. "Federal Government" still declaring public holiday after the Sultan's statement is a farce. Infact its now we will know whether there is CAN

    1. Sultan did not declare holiday but only annouced an Islamic day. Pls do not divide the nation along religious lines with your comments. And for your info, I'm a born again Christian.

    2. But this happens every year though. Or doesnt it? Why cry this year? Its actually quite annoying though i must admit. Its as though the sultan is somehow in charge in the country pr at least has a lot of power here

  4. But since Muslims don't have calendar for their festivities, don't they reserve the right to fix any date that suits them? Must we attach religion in every action taken in Nigeria?

  5. At time when I read comments made by my fellow Christians (if they truly are Christians) I get so worried, disturbed n ask myself if they truly know d meaning of Christianity. You go around making careless statements that can set dis country on fire. its obvious some of u guys are profiting from the crisis. FYI all of your earthly gains does not in any way guarantee u a space in heaven. God is watching you all. It is my prayer that all workers of iniquities will be chased out of creation IJN.
Wat did the sultan say wrong in this context if I may ask? The sultan is a leaders of the Muslims m by virtue of his position has d right to pass on relevant information's to his fellow Muslims. Did he in anyway make categorical statements declaring Public holiday? All he declared was Monday as Eid-El-Kabir. It is left for the presidents to either give Muslims the day of to celebrate or not. Does our good Friday n easter monday always fall on d same day of the month in every year? yet we are always given those days off to celebrate. Please let's not get it twisted. Let's learn to tolerate one another. peace n progress is all we crave in dis land. N not some agents of agents of darkness having sleepless nights because they want to tear dis country apart. #Godnogogreedemsucceed
