Nollywood actor, Prince Eke, has just come out to speak the minds of many parents and youths after he bemoaned the high school fees charged by Christian schools.
The actor pointed that people attend these churches and pay tithes with other donations yet the common man cannot afford to send their child to such schools.
Eke pointed out that some of these Christian schools have failed even with their preaching yet they fail to help their own on earth but expect heavenly grace.
In his words, “How can a church own a school and the poor can't attend it? How can you be teaching people how they can make it to the kingdom of God when they can't enter your own earthly 'kingdom', built with people's tithes and donations? How can Christian schools be the most expensive schools in Nigeria now? How can one relate this to the term "Christianity" with regards to the "Early Christian Community
“Note: Most of the good people in the world now have nothing to do with christianity, just like most Christians are far from it too. Another academic session, and parents are paying through their noses to send the kids back to school. A word will always be enough for the wise!”

I still don't know where to place these all while issues. What I see happening in churches today is business. In as much they have accountant and treasurer then it's more of business that just church. Same reason government want to impose tax on them. Cos these pastors leave a lavish life and nothing they give back to the society. One pay for counselling and special prayers these days. How close or far are we to heaven with these attitude and life style of churches and pastors.
ReplyDeleteI WONDER OOOOO
ReplyDeletePrince Eke, God bless you for joining me on this. Two years back, I commented on one of those churches, whose university is exorbitant that only about 10% of the members could afford it, not minding the fleet of jets in their g/o's possession. There are many like that. Then ,I ask, where is that Christ like life? Where is that charity that is akin to Christianity? Well, I state again, JUDGMENT will start from the church.
