Super Eagles captain Mikel Obi is in line to make his first appearance for Chelsea in Tuesday's English Football League Cup fixture against Leicester City.
The midfielder is yet to feature for the Blues in an official game this season due to his involvement with the Nigeria U-23 side that won the bronze medal at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Chelsea coach Antonio Conte is expected to ring changes in the squad and rest the likes of N'Golo Kante against the Foxes with his side due to face Arsenal in an English Premier League game on Saturday.
Mikel alongside his country man Victor Moses is expected to be among the players that will feature in the game.
Should he play in the game, it will be Mikel's 250th appearance for the Stamford Bridge outfit.
The former Premier League champions have failed to register a win in their last two games and will look get back to winning ways again
