Former Super Eagles Captain, Joseph Yobo, has refuted reports that he has signed for Nigerian Football club Kano Pillars.
According to reports, Yobo was expected to play for Kano Pillars in accordance of with an ambassadorial deal he signed with the League Management Company (LMC).
"Yobo will play for Kano Pillars; he will be on the pitch as soon as possible,” LMC Chairman Shehu Dikko said at the unveiling of the LMC partnership deal with Star Lager Beer, as the official beer of the NPFL on August 23 at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos.
As a result, Yobo was expected to be in action against the Sunshine Stars of Akure last weekend.
However, Yobo said he didn't sign for any club.
“I read that I was missing in action last weekend. I have not signed for Kano pillars or any NPFL club. Yet,” Yobo wrote on his official Twitter page.
