New Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr, has made it clear he would not need Enugu Rangers coach, Imama Amakapabo, as his assistant coach.
The German arrived in Uyo early this week with his three assistants, as he officially takes over the Nigerian national team.
Rohr was meant to work with some local coaches, including Amakapabo and Salisu Yusuf, but has now dropped the Rangers tactician.
“Yes, Rohr has said he does not wish to work with Imama. But we have not received an official communication in this respect and so cannot react to this decision until we have,” a official told reporters.
“The executive committee appointed Imama just as they hired Rohr and so the matter must be brought before them for the next line of action.
