The invitation is for the commissioning of a Cancer Screening Centre initiated by the wife of Niger State governor, Dr. Amina Abubakar Bello.
The occasion will also formally usher in the take-off of Raise Foundation, a reproductive, advocacy, safe spaces and empowerment pet project of the governor’s wife.
Press Secretary to Mrs. Bello in a statement in Minna said the devastating and colossal effect of the dreaded ailment of cancer, especially among women informed the establishment of the screening centre to enable early detection of the ailment and to provide treatment.
“Records have shown that cancer, especially the cervical cancer has led to early and untimely death of women in recent times.
