David Moyes has reiterated that Victor Anichebe is not yet ready to make his debut for Sunderland.
Anichebe joined the Black Cats from West Brom as a free agent, but is currently sidelined with a thigh strain.
Speaking in his press conference ahead of Sunderland's English Football League Cup tie away to Queens Park Rangers, Moyes ruled Jermaine Defoe out of the game while revealing that he will make changes for the game.
"Some young boys will be involved – Duncan, Lynden and Jordan have all played well. Victor (Anichebe)isn't ready for this game."
"Jermain got a bit of a knock so he won't go to QPR. We need to make sure he's fit for the weekend."
"Some players need game time but some need a rest, so we will take a good team down but we will make a couple of changes."
Moyes added:"We're focusing on going to QPR and putting out a team that will get a result."
