Ogunwusi, who was selected out of 21 contenders to the Ooni stool in October 2015, wrote on his Facebook page thus: “We are not idol worshipers.
“Our tradition gives glory to the Almighty God,” the Ooni added.
Recall that recently, the Ooni came under heavy criticism when he declared that Jesus is his Father.
A picture of him on his knees with a caption: ‘Jesus is my father’ caused a stir on the social media, with users calling him a hypocrite.
But the Ooni had said he was not moved by mere criticisms.
